Wildcraft Grill and Long Bar– King St. N
Wood paneled with mid-century modern furnishings and large booths to accommodate groups, Wildcraft has a classy, yet casual environment. The food ranges from salads to sushi, burgers, sandwiches, and steaks. In addition, they have menus specific to dietary restrictions such as plant-based and gluten free. Extravagant desserts on the menu include a tropical flavoured phyllo-crust cheesecake, a triple layer chocolate cake, and lavender creme brulee. At Wildcraft, even the side dishes are packed with flavour. The Black Truffle Mashed Yukon Potatoes will have you questioning all of your past mashed potato experiences.
Let’s not forget– they are also a bar. At the centre of Wildcraft is a giant glass wine cellar, flanked by bartending stations and long bar tables, from which draught beer and cocktails are served. Most of their beers come from within Ontario, though a few are imports from Europe. The cocktail list includes Wildcraft spins on classics like the Old Fashioned and Caesar, as well as original drinks, and options with low ABV or no alcohol. Many of their flavour combinations involve berries and/or spices; the perfect palate cleanser for a savoury dinner.
